Joining Federations
Fedi is a frontend application for managing your money, your data, and your digital life across your different communities. Fedi is built on top of Fedimint, an open protocol for trust minimized community custody. You can connect to multiple Federations and easily move money and information between them.
Connecting to Your First Federation
Fedimint works to minimize risks and single points of failure, but is inherently a threshold custodial solution that relies on trusting a quorum of guardians.
You should only join Federations whose Guardians you know and trust.
Ask a user or a guardian for an invite code to join a Federation, either by pasting it in directly or scanning as a QR code.
Connecting to Multiple Federations
Fedi is purpose built to connect to multiple Federations, and you can easily switch between them. You can connect to a new Fedimint by clicking the Federation Name at the top of the app, which will open a drawer of your connected Federations. Click the "Add a Federation" button, then scan or paste the invite code for whichever other federation you want to join.
